Gilchrist will get some runs

Kings XI Punjab coach Darren Lehmann is confident that his captain Adam Gilchrist, who is struggling to find form in this edition of the IPL, will come good in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Pepsi IPL here on Friday.
Lehmann said Gilchrist was doing a good job as a captain, and his ’keeping has been fantastic.
“Hopefully, he will get some runs tomorrow,” he said with a grin as his team trained under lights at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium here on Thursday.
“Definitely, batting has been a bit of disappointment for us so far. We hope to bat better in the game tomorrow,” he said.
“Yes, we certainly take lots of confidence from our big win against KKR the other night. It is against the best team and the defending champion. But again, this is a long tournament and we cannot afford to look too long,” said the Kings XI coach.
About Friday’s match, Lehmann said SRH had been playing well enough to record four wins. “We have plans, definitely, for the match tomorrow. They also know what to expect from us,” he said.
He also revealed that his team had a couple of injuries — he did not want to name the players — and there would be a couple of changes in the playing eleven.
“SRH has not only good quality bowlers but also good batters. And on this typical Hyderabad wicket, it should be a high scoring, good contest,” he said.
The SRH did not have any training session and no one was available to brief the media. — Special Correspondent
